How Do I Meet People?

New Holt Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at New Holt Baptist Church.

Bible Study

Small groups offer a place to connect with other believers in fellowship; to grow in our understanding of the Bible, as Jesus’ own small group of disciples did; to meet the needs of others in your group in ministry; to become equipped for evangelism; and to worship God through practicing godly behavior. NHBC Small group Bible study is effective for spiritual growth and allowing the Holy Spirit to be formed in us.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. The youth program is for all young people in Middle and High School. Activities include Sunday Morning devotion, movie and skating trips, Parent/Youth outings, music and plays for worship, and overnight trips, everything you need to keep busy all year long. We are raising teens to be hyped up on Christ, instead of on drugs, alcohol, gambling, premarital sex etc.

Children’s Ministry

Behold children are a gift of the Lord, so we believe they are precious to Him. Therefore we endeavor to provided loving, quality care and well-planned Bible learning activities to equip your children for their Christian walk. Our Children’s ministry includes: Sunday School classes organized according to school class levels and will soon be followed by Children’s Church which is divided into worship, music, and discipleship training. NHBC Kids Klub is full of fun activities to enhance their relationship with Christ.

Women’s Group

The purpose of the D.O.F. (Daughter’s of Faith) Women’s Ministry Bible study is to grow in intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through daily study and application of the Scriptures, prayer, and building relationships through intergenerational small groups. The women in our studies come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences.  The D.O.F. have varies outings to provide an opportunity to get away for a weekend of relaxation and refreshment with friends, while enhancing their relationship with God.  D.O.F. Bible Studies are open to all women in the church and community.

Men’s Accountability Group

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages to be effective husbands, fathers, and leaders. We are our brother keepers here at New Holt Baptist Church. Occasionally, the men participate in outside activities for enjoyment and entertainment such as bowling, fishing, attending a ballgame, etc. Friendship are formed and bonds are made.

Couples Ministry

Marriage is one of the most important institutions and it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. New Holt Baptist Church provides married couples the opportunity to attend marriage classes ranging on topics from Marriage and Money, Getting Ready for Kids, Shepherding Children, Marriage and Sex.

C.A.R.E Ministry

Christian Action Reaching Everyone is the goal of this ministry. It’s focus is upon follow up of visitors and absentees; canvassing the community; providing cards and visits to the sick, and assisting as needed in the CARE of the people. This is a great opportunity to change lives and impact the community with God message of love.

Over 55 (Trailblazers)

Once you get past fifty-five, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-55 group of New Holt Baptist Church provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ. The New Holt Senior’s Ministry has monthly meetings and special activities. They are the pillar of our church and community.
