C.A.R.E. Ministry

Christian Action Reaching Everyone is the goal of this ministry.  Its focus is follow up with visitors and absentees; canvassing the community; providing cards and visits to the sick, and assisting the pastoral staff as needed in the CARE of the people.

Missions:

This ministry seeks to provide a means of fulfilling Christ’s command to Go ye into the entire world with the Gospel.  The church desire is to support missions and missionary families as they spread the Gospel around the world. Also, there are special mission projects which are supported. The mission’s ministry provides the opportunity for the ministry of our church to have a community and world wide impact.

Deacons and Deaconesses

The members and friends of NHBC are divided into six geographical groups know as Care Groups. A deacon and deaconess are assigned to each group and are available to provide assistance to anyone in need.

Greeters:

A ministry for couples that is focused on welcoming and orientating visitors to our church.  The greeters provide direction and information concerning the church as well as providing a warm heartfelt welcome to our guests.

Ushers:

Dedicated servants who serve through welcoming, seating guests, distributing literature, receiving the offering and other areas as needed.

Caring For the Church Family Home Food Service

Meals are provided for families when a family member has just been released from the hospital; including maternity, serious injury or surgery, also periodically if there is an extended illness.

Hospitalized

Those hospitalized are sent flowers, a fruit basket or a treat basket during their stay.

NHBC Food Bank

Our Church family provides food items for needy families from the church and the community.

Prayer Chain

A prayer chain is maintained to provide prayer support for our families who have experienced serious injury or are in a life-threatening situation or illness. Volunteers pray and relay the prayer requests to others in the chain.
